Request for Proposal - Sector Partnership National Dislocated Worker Grant (SPNDWG)

On November 4th, 2015 Workforce Snohomish received a U.S. Department of Labor Sector Partnership National Dislocated Worker Grant (SPNDWG) from the Employment Security Department (ESD) for the purpose of Enhanced Career and Training Services to Dislocated Workers*. Workforce Snohomish will use this funding to support work-based training solutions such as Apprenticeships/Pre-Apprenticeships along with Individual Training Accounts (ITA), incumbent worker training, and customized training that achieve industry recognized credentials in high demand occupations, and to increase regional and sector-based partnerships throughout Snohomish County and beyond.

In accordance with the SPNDWG funding statement of work Workforce Snohomish is releasing $100,000 in a competitive Request for Proposal (RFP) Process to be used to provide registered Apprenticeship/Pre-Apprenticeship training to a minimum of 25 eligible Dislocated Worker participants. Bidders able to train more than 25 participants with the funding, while still projecting equivalent employment and retention rates will be considered more competitive.
